Mechanized Factory

Image
In the last update, my image was missing some details. In this update, I have added some new graphs to describe the entire process.      I visited a factory that produces lighter shells. The raw materials for the lighter shell produced in this factory include plastic, resin, and metal. "I interviewed the workers in the factory, and they didn't know where the raw materials were coming from. They just received orders and started production.".      Most of the work in the factory is done by machine assembly lines. A small amount of work involves manual participation. The entire factory not only produces plastic lighters but also processes metal lighter shells. The only step in the processing of metal shells is to drill holes. They manually operate a drilling machine to drill holes in the already-shaped metal shell. It is worth noting that during drilling, workers spray water on the drill bit of the machine to cool down and wash away debris.      However, this factory ma

Wenzhou Bark Fiber Paper

Image
Wenzhou bark fiber paper technology is a kind of paper made from mulberry bark as the primary raw material. In the Tang Dynasty, it has become a tribute, and can truly reflect the ink color in painting and calligraphy. It was a precious commodity in ancient times. The development of the paper industry in recent generations has impacted the craftsmanship of handicrafts.      However, in recent years, the rise of the cultural industry and the resurgence of traditional culture have brought some new vitality to the traditional paper industry.        This experience studio is located in Lucheng, Wenzhou, and has opened up a small house on a busy street. The boss is the inheritor of Wenzhou bark paper technology, with ancestors involved in the paper industry. The boss himself is also engaged in the design industry, initially transforming papermaking culture into cultural and creative products, and later opening a papermaking experience studio.      Wenzhou papermaking is passed down fro

The Technical Structure-detail Design

Image
This time I studied four different types of section details. I summarized some existing detail pictures, combined them with my design, and drew the number frame, concrete frame, Masonry frame, and steel frame.      Timber frame is easy to be corroded by water, so a waterproof layer needs to be added. And the sound insulation of wooden walls is not good, so it is necessary to add some sound insulation materials or set up sound insulation cavities. The Timber frame is unstable and needs a lot of crossbeam support.      Concrete frame needs reinforcement as auxiliary support and will also be eroded by rain, so waterproof materials are required between walls.      Masonry frame needs to be attached to other frames. If it is not supported, the Masonry frame is likely to collapse. In addition, the sound insulation performance of the Masonry frame is poor, so the sound insulation layer should be added.      Steel frame is the simplest to build. The combination of welding and screws

Make my own sketchbook

Image
Cover: coarse paper, dyed fabric, embroidery. Inner page: Dongba paper      In the highly industrialized era, the precious thing is not materials, but traditional crafts and culture. From the cover to the inside page, I chose handmade paper, including my own dyed fabric and embroidery patterns.      The inner page of this sub-page is adhesive and cannot be replaced or added. I hope I can be frank with my thoughts in each period, and I hope they will not be changed.      I hope that my sketchbook can be completely recycled or decomposed after I use it, and all my ideas will be turned into a part of nature.       Initially, I wanted to make a book full of traditional flavor. I have always believed that making a notebook with plastic is not conducive to environmental protection, so I want to make a notebook that can be recycled after use or can be naturally decomposed. First, I will make the inside page of the book. This kind of paper is called "Dongba Paper", which is made by t
